In 1971, while stationed in Puerto Rico, Seth Fallaw began servicing air conditioning systems as part of his duties in the U.S. Navy. After twenty years of honorable service, Seth and his wife, Jean, returned to their hometown of Gilbert, South Carolina, where they founded Fallaw's Heating & Air in 1978.

In 2002, their daughter Tammy and her husband, Pat Cockrell, took over the company and have continued to operate it successfully to this day
